Url will not allow me to change it

I want to change my Url but it won't allow me?

What are you trying to change it to, and how are you doing it?

I went via 'My Blogs', through dashboard and then clicked on change this address.
I filled out the 2 boxes, being the new address and the confirmation. They match exactly but when I hit save, it tells me they don't match.

And I'm trying to change it to thecatsmeeow.wordpress.com because it defaulted to my email address and I don't want that.

Don't waste your time with a name change - the blog linked to your name is empty - just register a new blog name that you want and start blogging - set the old blog to Private and use it for testing and learning without messing up your "Real" blog

But that is the blog name I really want, otherwise it wouldn't be an issue.

Then register it as a NEW blog instead of trying to change your existing blog to it.

The address thecatsmeeow.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved!
Is reserved for you (your user name) - you should be able to just register it while logged in

You can't register it as a new blog, once the name has been used, it cannot be used again on a new account.
I've tried so many times to change it and it keeps telling me it doesn't match but it clearly does. So frustrating!

Well, after many MANY attempts, I finally changed it.
Problem solved!
