There is a PDF file with private personal data which must be deleted, but I cannot get access to it using the library interface, so I cannot remove it. The document to be deleted is

I want to delete a PDF file but cannot get access to it

It should be listed at media > library. At the top of the listing of media files, in the "show all dates" filter pulldown, select December of 2008 and then click "filter" to narrow down the list and it should be there.

Thank you for your help, but... I already tried it, and it still does not appear there, though I can see a lot of other files: PDF, GIF... It seems to me that the link to the file using "media > library" was somehow broken, and I cannot have access to the file the usual way...

I'll tag this for staff attention then and hopefully they can find it for you and get it deleted.

The file has been removed from our system as requested.

Thank you very much !

Sorry for bothering you again but... I don't know what happened.
After I saw the previous message, I checked the file was already deleted, as requested, but... today, someone tried to download it and it was still accessible through WordPress.http://antoniosantoscarvalho.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/pn-16395-direito-de-preferencia.pdf
I deleted all the Internet navigation history in the browser, used CTRL+F5 to refresh everything from scratch, but... the file still can be downloaded from the original path. It seems somehow it was recovered for some reason. Is there any way to delete the file once and for all?
Thanks for any help.

The file is definitely gone, that URL no longer exists, and the file was purged four days ago.
Perhaps it's still stored in your browser's cache or download history.
