I have chosen the "twenty ten" theme. can I replace the image for my own image? If so, what are the specs for this particular theme?

The drop-down menu does not appear until you hover over the Appearance link.
More to the point, there are no theme options for the Twenty Ten theme so why are you looking for that setting at all?
One more question: can I have an alias like [email redacted]? Can my blog name be used as an email?
So each theme comes with specific tools under my dashboard? I thought my administration page (dashboard) was a general tool to be used for all themes. Are you saying this is not the case? I was looking for it, because I thought my dashboard and the theme were not related.

I don't know what that meansl. The dashboard tools are available to all WordPress com bloggers are for use on all of the over 230 themes found here > Appearance > Themes and showcased here http://wordpress.com/themes/and those are the only themes that can be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

You do NOT know any WordPress.com free hosted bloggers that have FTP access and plugins. You are referring to WordPress>ORG installs and the Twenty Ten version coded to run on that software not WordPress>COM software.

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrades, you can request a refund yourself directly from the Store section of your Dashboard

If you want to cancel the non-domain upgrades in your Bundle, you can do it via Store > My Upgrades. Click on "Cancel and refund", then select the option to cancel the Bundle and keep the domain.

It may be more flexble but then again if you have not mastered blogging here on WordPress.com software you will find managing your own WordPress.ORG install is challenging. It's not a cake walk. Moreover, you do not get the same kind of patient, polite, long suffering, hand holding support in the WordPress>ORG support forums that you get here. Either you read the freaking manual there, called the codex, and work out almost everything on your own or you can languish away for weeks on end over there waiting for help.
Is "Home" mandatory to have as a page? I created additional pages where I would like my posts to go under. Can I add multiples posts under my different pages and will they appear as "new"?
The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts.

Which do you choose? It’s one or the other.
If you choose a static front page then you have to create two pages as I said above. After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

The pages we bloggers create cannot automatically update. Only the dynamic categories pages created by the software will automatically update.
Though there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page, we can create the appearance that we have posted to more than one page. We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.

Thank you. The issue here is that I have multiple pages I created. I will do multiple posts and not all will go under the same page. Depending on the topic, they will fall under each specific page.
What I thought I would do to fix this was to keep posting under each specific page..

That's exactly what I told you is not possible.
Delete the Pages you created because (1) they will not update and because (2) you cannot post to more than one page in any blog.
Publish posts with categories assigned to them. (There must be a published post in each category for there to be anything to display on the dynamic categories pages created by software - not by you.)
Create a custom menu.

That's neither possible nor desirable and it's unnecessary as well.
We actually strip out the www. for your convenience and any URLs with www will redirect to the URL without the redundant, character wasting antiquated "www"
www is an old protocol from back when everything was under separate server hardware. www (www.example.com) was the web server, mail (mail.example.com) was the mail server, ftp (ftp.example.com) was the FTP server, print (print.example.com) was the print server, etc.
These days, everything is run under the web server, making www. redundant and a waste of four characters.

I appreciate all your help, thank you. I am frustrated because this is my first blog and I'm trying to learn. The more I read, the more I figure out I am not ready...then when I cannot find the answers I am looking for, I come to you. Not have a lot of knowledge about blogging doesn't help. Please tell me this will get easier?
The easy way to to this is to register another blog strictly for learning purposes and set your main blog aside temporarily. Then you put the plan in your head for your main blog on the back burner. Instead you use the step by step tutorial prepared by Staff to learn every step in it and use the searchbox and support documentation to answer your own questions as your go along. Once you have done that then you tackle your main blog.
Note that there isn't single question that you asked in this thread that has not been asked and answered many times over. I know that for a fact because I have answered questions here for over 6 years.
I have made my blog private until I am ready to publish it. The problem is I purchased the pro bundle thinking this would be a lot easier for me to learn and get started. No way! It is now too late for me to get my refund. I should have just registered my domain. I will try and build my page little by little, then once I'm satisfied with what I know, I will publish my page. I have done a lot of writing already, but now I need to learn how to present it. You are very helpful.
I'm sorry it's too late for your to get a refund for the bundle. I see people here every day leaping into the deep end of the pool by purchasing upgrades before they have even worked through the tutorial yet. I would never do that. Best wishes to you.
