I want to see the blogs messages on the site I follow. Where do I get password?

I am trying to see the blogs listed on a friends web blog. when I go to their site, it asked me to sign in with a pass word. so I went to wordpress and signed up thinking I would get a password. But NO, all I get is a message. Like wordpress wants me to have my own blog site. I DO NOT want my own site - if I have one
I want it erased . ALL I WANT IS a PASSWORD TO SEE MY FRIENDS BLOG MESSAGES!! HELP

If your friend's blog is a public blog then they can give your the URL and you can view the blog. You don't need a password. Anyone with internet access can view a public blog.

If your friend has a private blog then you cannot access it and see anything at all on it unless they choose to allow you access to it.
