I want to start another blog on different subject without deleting current blog

I already have one blog, but I want to start a new blog on a different subject-poetry, which is completely separate from current blog. Can I do that? Can I see them both on my dashboard? I see the option to "Manage my Blogs" but nowhere to add a new one? Does that just mean "posts"? I found the following answer in forums/questions: "Just click on wordpress.com on top of this page and beneath your user name and the name of your current blog is an option to register another blog.", but it didn't resolve the problem for me. I clicked on WordPress.com, hovered my user name and there were options for: edit my profile, comments I've made, Manage My Blogs [which took me to aforementioned], Help [here i am], sign-out, and my current blog so I hovered my current blog [as instructed], and the options were: dashboard, new post, site stats, manage comments, read blog. Please help me understand what I need to do.

The blog I need help with is retrokittenapparel.wordpress.com.

  2. Yes, you can/ I have three blogs.

If you hover on the big WordPress "W" in the top left hand corner and select My Blogs, a page will display with an option of "Create a New Blog".

I have a feeling the support socument you are reading has not been updated with the latest changes to some things.

I actually just found it, but I went another route, but thanks so much for such a quick response. I went back to "Manage My Blogs" and there was a button called "Register New Blog" at the bottom right (my right) of the screen. Now my only problem is that when I click on it that page that says "Cannot Display This Page" comes up instead. I have this problem a lot, and I don't know why. I no longer have access to several web sites that I used to frequent. I've checked my pop-up blocker, and various other settings on my PC and I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening. I know this isn't a "blog" question, but any suggestions would definitely help.

  4. See here please > register a blog > Adding New Blog to an Existing Account > http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/#adding-new-blog-to-an-existing-account

When we register a username account here the email address we provide becomes our unique identifier. When we are logged into WordPress.com and register a blog it's registered to that username account we are logged in under and to the email address which is our unique identifier. We can register as many blogs as we wish and provided we are using the same username account then all the blogs will be registered under it and the associated email account.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/

If you want to completely separate two blogs then note this please. When we register a username we supply an email address that becomes our unique identifier. When we are logged in under that username account and register a blog it will be registered to that username. We can create a "nickname" or "display" name but it will appear on all blogs registered to the same username account. Also any blogs we accept invitations to necome users of will be added to that username account.

In order to completely separate the blogs that are not associated with each other you register another username account using a different email address when you are logged out of WordPress.com. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/ Then you add the new username account as an official user of the blog, and designate them (ie. you) as an Admin. Next you transfer one of the blogs to the new username account using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

  5. These are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise:
clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/
confirming third party cookies is enabled http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61416
    confirming JavaScript is enabled http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654
confirming Flash is updated http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and if required installing the latest version of Flash http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
    trying another browser

If those do not work we need to know
    (1) How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up).

    (2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/
