I'd like to empty my blog of all of its content but keep the blog name

  1. Hi,

I would like to transfer my blog www-the-fit-gourmet.ca from Blogger to WordPress. I have just attempted to import the entire blog, but the result is not great: lots of formatting is odd, especially the missing line breaks.

Would it be better if I emptied the entire content and imported the blog as a file from Blogger?

Also, I have many photo slideshows from Flickr embedded in my blog, which get imported as LINKS, not as slideshows. Is there a way to import them so that they're embedded in my WordPress posts as slideshows, i.e. as in http://www.the-fit-gourmet.ca/2012/05/saturday-in-montreal-what-if-day.html

    Thank you very much!
    Blog url: http://fitgourmet.wordpress.com/

  2. Howdy,

Sorry for the delay! Did you still need us to empty fitgourmet.wordpress.com?

You can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.

Alternatively, we can empty the whole blog for you, but that will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files. Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

(Please reply to this thread to confirm that you'd like us to empty your blog.)

Would it be better if I emptied the entire content and imported the blog as a file from Blogger?

Possibly. We'll be happy to take a closer look if that doesn't change things. :)

If the Flickr embed code for a slideshow uses iFrame, then there isn't a way for those to be displayed directly from Flickr on your WordPress.com blog. (We restrict certain kinds of code for security reasons.)

If you need those slideshows, my best suggestion is to download the photos to your computer, re-upload them into the post, and insert the slideshow shortcode for each post.
