I'd like to shut down my blog. How can I do it?

  1. Hi. I'd like to shut down my blog. How can I do it?

The blog I need help with is luzcomflorais.wordpress.com.

  2. option 1 - delete blog
Provided you are logged in under the username account that registered the blog you can delete the blog by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Please note that deleted blog URLs are not recycled.

option 2 - delete content - retain URL
Alternatively, you can keep the URL and just delete the content and start again. If you don't have a lot of content you don't need to wait for Staff to do this. You can delete the content and retain the URL and start fresh.

option 3 - change blog visibility to private
Or you can make the blog private and use it as a test blog and backup blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ And, you can hide it from dashboard display as well. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility

  3. Thank you for your help!

  4. You're welcome and best wishes.

  5. I saw this conversation and I have a similar question.

I have for some reason managed to create to sites under the same domain. One of them has the "xx.wordpress.com" in the end but I am only going to use the one called "xx.com. Will I loose the one called xx.com (and the things that I have already made on that site) if I close down the one with "wordpress.com" in the end?

I hope you can help me?

    Best regards
    Stine

  6. You need to give us the URLs in question, starting with http, first.
