I.E. 8 issues with stats

  • Suddenly I’m experiencing browser issues with the I.E. 8 browser — specifically, on the stats page, the “W” spins forever and does not resolve into the bar chart of statistics. Also, whenever I roll my mouse over the text in my blog, the font changes and then changes back. I don’t have this problem when I use I.E. 9 or Chrome. The stats spinning wheel just started happening yesterday. Any thoughts on what’s going on?

  • Hi there,
IE9 is the most current stable version. IE10 is nuder development and IE8 will soon be in the history books. Others who had this problem downloaded Firefox 13. If you want to do this see here > http://browsehappy.com

  • I am having the same issues. However, I believe it has to do with me having IE8. I can prove this, because the public library computers have IE9 and WordPress works perfectly (I checked this 2 hours ago). As much as I don’t want to install IE9, I probably will.

I’m on windows XP and cannot upgrade to IE9 but I don’t care as I started using Firefox years ago and never looked back. Best wishes no matter what you decide to do. :)

  • Thanks for the feedback. I downloaded I.E.9 on this computer, and the problem no longer exists. With I.E.8 becoming history, as you said @timethief, I’m guessing it’s no longer keeping up with all the upgrades, etc.
