IE - Internet Explorer

  1. Hello,

I always use Mozilla, but today i've seen my blog in Internet Explorer and there are some problems with the visualization. How can i fix that?

    Thanks,

The blog I need help with is oeditorial.wordpress.com.

  2. IE7 browsers are not supported. IE8 browsers are supported at this time but that will not always remain so.

  3. So, it's impossible to solve the problem?
It has something to do with CSS code alterations?
I've seen other wordpress blogs in IE and they fine...
    Thanks

  4. Exactly which version of IE are you referring to please? No one can provide an accurate answer without that information.

If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

If you are, please do these four things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

    3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

If you are not successful let us know exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using and post any error reports you get.

  5. Hello,

Thanks for the answer. I was allerted by a follower of my blog that is using IE7 (i use Mozilla, but also have IE7)... so it means all the people that have IE7 sees my blog in a messy way?

  6. If they are using IE7, they are using an out-of-date and possibly insecure browser. Most of the web has stopped support for IE7, including Microsoft.

You can update to the latest browser at http://browsehappy.com/

If you are using Windows XP and cannot update to IE9, then it's time to switch to Firefox or Chrome.

  7. If you are using Windows XP and cannot update to IE9, then it's time to switch to Firefox or Chrome.

    Or SeaMonkey or Opera.
