IE8 Accelerator--Will we be getting one?

Will we be getting an WordPress accelerator for IE8? Blogger already has one, of course MSN Spaces has one. If one is being developed, what is the eta?

Wordpress uses Google Gears, so it is up to Google, but I suspect there will be something coming.

I'm not sure I understand what Google Gears has to do with IE8 or an IE8 accelerator. I don't think these things are mutually exclusive, so I sure would love a "Blog with WordPress" accelerator.
