   The Mainland is updated Mon, Wed, and Fri with original humor and satirical posts from your host, Robert Rubin. No, I am not the former U.S. Treasury Secretary under Bill Clinton. I am a 1997 Rutgers University grad who got a B+ in a creative writing class.

   Anyhow, we feature parody news stories (Onion style), commentary on today's current events, how-to guides, top X lists, and other random stories that might give you a chuckle or two.

   I am also looking to feature other WordPress humor/satire writers on a new Recommendations page since it's quite apparent that we humor bloggers have a very difficult time trying to get featured on Freshly Pressed.

   I think you have a really great idea for a blog. However, what I like most about it are your personal stories written in the style of a satirical newspaper. I think you could have guests posts occasionally, but I wouldn't try and run it solely on guest produced content. Readers like knowing who they are reading about and forming a connection with that person, that's why we read the same blogs over and over. Keep it personal and funny with content everyone can relate to. I think you have a lot of potential, and your template is perfect. Don't get discouraged if it takes time to gain readers though. Keep plugging away and eventually your six readers will turn into 600!
