I'm fed up with continually reading "The connection to the server was reset ....

  1. This is the fourth day of interruption on computer screen, I've taken all the suggestions offered and to no avail, how can a blog be written under these circumstances? I am fed up with reading 'The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading' Is this a regular problem with all blog sites - should I be thinking of moving?

  2. Hi there,
    (1) How are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.

    (2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you don’t know click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

    (3) Are you using the https:// secure log-in? If not then please enable it

  3. I have also suffered this problem for about 3 or 4 days only, and only on my windows 7 laptop. My old windows XP desktop and my wife's Vista laptop seem to be ok (at least when I tried them). Another problem at the moment, is that I cannot read my 'notifications' tab on this same laptop, but this is ok on any other PC. All other tabs seem to be ok. Any help would be appreciated as it's nearly impossible to post anything at the moment.

I'm presuming that it is something to do with a windows update, but don't know how to fix it.

  4. Hi there,
I have flagged this thread for Staff attention.

  5. There is an issue between on of our third-party CDNs and certain ISPs. We are working with our CDN to resolve the issue, and you might want to try contacting your ISP too.

    Sorry for the trouble!
