Hello,
I'm wanting to split my blog into two, and have two blogs.
1. For my photography
2. For personal / family
Apart from just setting up a new second blog and starting from scratch, are there any short cuts that would allow me to:
a, Duplicate the blog - then work on both of the blogs separately?
b, Start a new blog, but then "copy over" posts from my existing blog to the new one?
c, Any other ideas?

You can accomplish this in just a few steps.
First, export your first blog (you can even export only posts of a specific category):
http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
Then, register a new blog (you can do so under the same WordPress.com account):
http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Finally, import your first blog into your new blog. You can do so from Tools → Import in your new blog's dashboard.
