Image Positioning within Entries...

  1. This is more complicated for me to figure out on my own...

As you can see on my blog, the images are too wide, and frankly, I want to go wider.

Is it possible to move the images in my entry to the left, aligning them with the date circles - but also remain on top of the entry's borders?

I want it to look like this, but obviously the image will be wider as you'll see all of it when it's bumped to the left:

    Thanks, everyone. :)

The blog I need help with is blog.voirvenir.com.

  2. The maximum image width in the blogging space of the Bueno theme is 490pixels. In Bueno the sidebar width is 300 pixels and the footer width is 280pixels. Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I recommend that you don’t buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own.

If you are considering purchasing the upgrade, you can go to Appearance > Edit CSS. There wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try before you buy.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/editing-css/

If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the paid custom CSS upgrade and renew it annually. It will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.

If you do deiced to purchase the CSS upgrade then please be patient and consult tutorials found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/#css-help and this post http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/ while waiting for a Volunteer to help you. :)

  3. I already have the upgrade and I already edited the column widths, among other things.

Hopefully someone can help me with what I posted.

  4. I hope so too but I'm afraid you will have to wait until one of the Volunteers who helps with CSS logs in and locates this thread. Best wsihes with your editing. :)

  5. I would suggest going 1000px for width on .col-full and 780px on #main. That gets you the full width of the image on the main page and maintains the white space at each side.

I would not recommend moving the images and content to the left. Design wise, you always want adequate white space on each side of content to give a clear border to the content and give the eye somewhere to pause or rest.
