Image size not publishing correctly

  • When I open WordPress website I can use the ‘New Post’ option (next to the little pen icon) to create a post with text & pics (Option A). I can also click on the ‘My Blog’ link and do the exact same thing using exact same procedure (Option B). However if I click on ‘My Blog’ and then click on ‘122 Posts’ (as it shows at present) and then try to use the ‘Posts – Add New’ option (Option C) to make a new post all the photos that I attach to my blog appear like postage stamps – tiny – when I publish. If I use either of the two earlier options A or B then no issues, the photos publish in the correct large size.
However, there is far more functionality with the Option C – you can select exactly which pics you want where etc. Much more difficult with A & B.

Can you fix this bug or not?

  • Another question!

I have published a blog today called ‘Tir Na Nog’. But it still appears as a Draft when I check ‘My Blog/122 Posts’. But all my friends have received it and it published to my Facebook page. That particular blog actually makes it 123 posts – which the website acknowledged when I published it.

When I tried to do an edit shortly after publishing, I was only offered the option to ‘Publish’ – not the option to ‘Update’ as is more normal with an edit of a published post. So I clicked ‘Publish’.

And now the post appears twice when I click ‘My Blog/122 Posts’ – but both still listed as ‘Draft’

What to do guys? Another bug fix required. Or is the problem at my end?

Note – This issue is an ongoing one for me for the last 1 to 2 months. I have no idea how it was ‘born’.

  • Hi there,

In regards to your more recent question, the issue with your blog post showing as a Draft and yet others having gotten notification of it, that can happen when you have other devices, windows, or tabs open with the same post loaded up in draft form. The Autosave feature over-writes the published status with a draft status, so it gets reverted back to “draft.” This is especially tricky with some of our older versions of the iOS app. If you have it installed and have not recently updated the iOS app, you may want to make sure you do so!

In any case it should be safe to republish that first copy of your draft. The second one should be deleted.

In regards to your first question, could you please take a screenshot of the compose window that you’re talking about so that I’m sure that we’re on the same page? As you’re aware, we’ve got more than one and I don’t want to be giving bad information!

You can find information about how to take a screenshot here:

    Take a Screenshot

And once you’ve taken it, you can upload the screenshot to your Media Library and post the link right here for me to see.

    Thank you much!
