Image size on home page

  1. Is there a way to make the featured images on my homepage larger? (I'm talking about the smaller images below the slider.) Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is fieldguideforthemodernman.com.

  2. This can be done in your settings.

    If you purchased the theme you may have the choice under dashboard, appearance, theme options, featured images. You should be able to change the thumbnail dimensions.

  3. @1travis, Watson does not have the option to set the post thumbnail sizes in Theme Options, and the setting at Settings > Media wouldn't do it either. The post thumbnail image size for the images on the main page is set in the theme files themselves, and we cannot edit them at WordPress.com.

    This does it, but as you will notice, the images lose a lot of sharpness and quality. When doing a CSS solution, such as the below, the browser is being asked to resize the images and browser image resizing abilities are very limited.

    .home figure img {
        min-width: 150%;
    }

    .home .post-roll article.post .post-content {
        width: 34%;
        float: right;
    }

    Take a look and see what you think.

  4. I like it! Thank you!

  5. You are welcome.
