I have recently installed wordpress and when I try to post and add an image from my local hard drive I get the following message:
Unable to create directory /home/etab/public_html/news/wp-content/uploads/2006/05. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
I reinstalled wordpress through the cpanel of the server, but it still has the same problem.
help!
You're in the wrong forum. This forum is for blogs hosted at wordpress.com, not self-hosted blogs.

Looks like you forget to chmod your wp-content directory though as per the directions. You may want to reread them as you may have missed other items. :)
