Hello. I logged onto WordPress today to edit and schedule a post. I did not tinker with the images in the post. I scheduled it for this Saturday.
Then I changed my Twitter settings under Appearance > Widgets. After I had saved the new settings, I loaded the homepage of my blog to see the changes. What I discovered is that all of the images from my posts had disappeared. The sole image in the sidebar was still viewable.
I went into edit mode for my most recent published post with a picture. The picture icon was displayed as broken. I clicked the edit button and re-uploaded the picture from my computer to WordPress. Once I saved the changes to my post, the picture appeared on my homepage and the post. However, all other pictures for my blog are still missing.
My blog is relatively new so I can go through the few posts I have and re-upload all the pictures. But I want to avoid this problem in the future because I don't want to have to continue re-uploading pictures multiple times.
I searched for answers to this problem on both the forums and Google. I found a few older answers that were too complicated for me to understand (I'm a new blogger and a new WordPress user). I also noticed that people in the UK were having issues with their images on Monday/Tuesday evening. I'm in the USA though (and it's Wednesday).
Any ideas as to what caused all my images to disappear? Any ways to fix this moving forward?
FYI, my blog is at towardinfinity.wordpress.com
The blog I need help with is towardinfinity.wordpress.com.
