Images in excerpts?

    Hi!

I am using the Grisaille theme. I would like to have images in my excerpts. I can't figure out how to do it. Help?

    Thanks! /Jennifer

The blog I need help with is vanligaveganen.wordpress.com.

  2. You have to create your own excerpts in order to include images in them. When creating a post or page on your WordPress.com blog, you have two editing modes available to you: Visual Editor and Text Editor (HTML).

You compose your whole post first in the Visual editor and that includes uploading the images and before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy as much of the code you find there for your own excerpt, paste it into the Excerpt box, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts
This will have to be done on every post.
Note: If you want to display full posts instead of excerpts before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy all of the code you find there, paste it into the Excerpt box, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts
This will have to be done on every post.

    Thank you!

I'm trying like crazy here and I think I get it. But how can I control the alignment of the image and the text in the excerpt, if I for example want the image to be aligned to the left and the text to be aligned along the right side of it? This is not the way they are aligned in the actual post.

    Thanks again!

  4. I want to add, to those who use Grisaille and have the same question as I did, check out 'Featured Image' in the bottom right corner of the page when you write or edit a post. If you add a picture here it will show up in the excerpt on the front page of your blog.
