Import from E107

  1. Hi there,

I know it's possible to import an E107 cms website to WordPress if you are hosting it yourself, but I'm wondering about having it import to a blog hosted by Worldpress.com... It's a plugin I had to install on my hosted site. Is there a way to get it made available for free wordpress hosted sites?

The blog I need help with is griznuq.wordpress.com.

  2. Hello there,
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into them for security reasons. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

  3. Hi TT,

    Yeah, I understand that.

I'm just wondering if there's any other way to import from e107 to a WordPress.COM blog at all, or plans to incorporate the importer, etc...

    Thanks.

  5. Thanks!

  6. That may be possible, but we may not be able to get to it until after next week due to travel. Do you have a link for this plugin so I can take a look?

  7. The plugin I'd used before is located here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/e107-importer/

Though, it occurs to me that the e107 site I was thinking of trying to import is MOSTLY forums, which I didn't realize WordPress.com doesn't support...

But, still might be a nice feature.

  8. No, we won't be able to import forum content, only posts/comments.
