I need to import from my tumblr blog into my wordpress.com blog. I read that the last version of wordpress (.org) has an import from tumblr functionality, but I cannot find that functionality in my wordpress.com blog. Any ideas when this will be available for .com blogs?

I'm sorry but we Volunteers answering support questions don't know what Staff have planned. You will need to contact Staff directly. I too am interested in the answer they provide as I have a Tumblr blog with content I wish to import as well.
We're currently working on the Tumblr importer. Stay tuned. :-)
Thanks for the update. FWIW my Tumblr blog is all Media ie. youtube videos.
oh, i'm looking forward to this one! i'm importing my wp.com blog to my .org blog & want to import tumblr to my .com blog (but not directly to my .org blog) *bounces like a mac icon*
