I started the import from my Posterous blog over 24 hours ago to WordPress and I still haven't received any notification of its completion. Just want to make sure everything is still going according to plan.
The blog I need help with is yongbenjamin.wordpress.com.

Could you please download your Posterous content and then try importing from the backup file? Here are the Posterous instructions on how to download a backup: http://blog.posterous.com/posterous-spaces-backup-tool-available-now
Once you've downloaded your zip file, unzip it and look for the WordPress export file (WXR). Next, upload that file via the WordPress importer (not the Posterous importer) under Tools > Import > WordPress.

@catrymer I have tried the import from a Posterous download. I received an email advising successful, but there is nothing there.
@sylmobile: Thanks for trying the alternate backup method. Sorry it still isn't working for you. I've asked for some help getting your file imported properly and will get back to you when I hear from our experts.

@catrymer I'm still waiting for the Posterous backup to be completed, they said I would receive an email but I'm still waiting.
Just wondering why the direct import doesn't work sometimes on WordPress?

@catrymer Okay, I'm trying the dropbox file you have supplied. It asked me about assigning how to assign posts to users, which is something new and a positive sign ;-)
Now the wait...
@catrymer Okay that did the trick! It was much faster than expected, presumably due to the direct dropbox to wordpress pipe... ;-)
So the dropbox files can be zapped now.

@catrymer — I did the above method of importing WordPress from the Posterous backup, and I received an email saying it was successful. But when I go to my blog nothing has changed?
Would it help if I imported from a dropbox file as well...? My page is still showing blank :(

We recently made some changes to the Posterous Importer that might help resolve your import issues. Could you re-try using the Posterous Import tool (not the WordPress import tool) with your file?
