Importing Jump Breaks from Blogger to WordPress

  1. My blog currently runs on blogger but I'm playing with the idea of using wordpress.com instead so I have used the import tool on wordpress.com. The import functionality worked fine except that none of my jump breaks were replicated in wordpress and before the title of each of my blogger posts that are now in wordpress, there is a ">" character. This will take hours of time for me to edit out of hundreds of posts and re-add jump breaks. Any thoughts on how to get around this?

    Thanks!!

The blog I need help with is solifestyle.wordpress.com.

  2. I'm sorry but I don't know of any way to get around this. However, as you have transferred content from Blogger I would like to advice you to enable this setting > Settings > Writing
    Formatting
__ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”

If you then try this you may get lucky or not. Now, starting with a post that contains jump links, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “Update Post.” Check your blog and see if the jump links work.

To edit your post, go to Posts -> Posts in your dashboard menu.
