I am unable to find on the myriad of pages how you do this.
Simply put how do I cut/paste pictures onto my blog?
WordPress does not seem to allow me to do this.
Is it that you have to pay more for this attribute? Surely not?
The blog I need help with is aromancer.com.
In the new post/page editor, under the title box, there is the Upload/Insert Media area. Click the icon with the musical note and the camera on it and then you can insert images from either your computer, a website, or your WordPress.com Media Library. If you want to insert videos from your computer, you have to pay for the VideoPress Upgrade.

Simply put how do I cut/paste pictures onto my blog?
The answer to your question is you can't cut/paste pictures from your own computer into your blog and have them display. The pictures have to be uploaded into the blog so they are on WordPress.com servers and yodaman5556 has provided links to relevant support documentation so you can accomplish that.
