Improving the facebook button

For some reason, the wordpress "facebook share" button doesn't display how many times a page has been shared on facebook. I think adding this as an option would be an improvement.

Yes I agree, Is there any way we can add said button?

The button does not display the number. Have you looked on your stats page? That's where I see the numbers on my blog and the details too.
    stats > http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/
    Dashboard > Site Stats >
    Total subscriptions & Shares module
    click "shares" tab
    click the number for details

This is the result of clicking you username link:
    mosesfolliville.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this blog.

Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Have you already set these up or not? I don't know because I can't see the blog in question. sharing > http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

Right, but I was actually thinking it'd be nice to publicly display the number for promotional purposes. Having a high number of "facebook shares" can be helpful in establishing legitimacy for new readers.

    & Thanks for responding!

  6. Understood. I just wanted to be sure that you did know where to find the numbers. :)
