    I am posting the following on behalf of my blog master, H. M. Stuart (who for some reason has difficulty posting to forums):

    I have been using the blog Export function periodically as a means of backing up the above blog in the event of problems. In the time since my last backup the Export page configuration has been rewritten and repeated
    attempts to utilize it over several days always result in the message

    "Goshdarnit!
    Something has gone wrong with our servers. It's probably Matt's fault. We've just been notified of the problem.
    Hopefully this should be fixed ASAP, so kindly reload in a minute and things should be back to normal."

    Previously I had broken my Export backups into time periods to make the file sizes functional within the limits of WordPress.com. In this new Export page configuration the "All Content" button does not allow such a breakdown by time period.

    How can I now under this new Export page configuration successfully create Export files of my blog as I have previously been able to do?

    The blog I need help with is aleksandreia.wordpress.com.

    The blog owner and administrator has asked me to thank you and let you know he has contacted Support about both problems. About why his attempts to post here get marked closed automatically so his authors have to post for him and why the all contents export doesnt work

    I have been asked to provide this update:

    Two days later, no response from Support, and trying to completely backup/save the entirety of a WordPress.com blog:

    "When you click the button below WordPress will create an XML file for you to save to your computer.

    This format, which we call WordPress eXtended RSS or WXR, will contain your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags.

    Once you’ve saved the download file, you can use the Import function in another WordPress installation to import this site.
    Choose what to export"

    using

    "All content This will contain all of your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, terms, navigation menus and custom posts."

    still crashes, producing the message

    "Goshdarnit!

    Something has gone wrong with our servers. It’s probably Matt’s fault.

    We’ve just been notified of the problem.

    Hopefully this should be fixed ASAP, so kindly reload in a minute and things should be back to normal."

    Maybe whatever is backed up under "All content" that is not in the partial blog selections "Posts" or "Pages" or "Feedback" is contributing to the problem.

    Thanks in advance for reminding Support of this problem, and maybe someone outside of Support understands the problem, too. I'm sure many people would be upset to lose their entire blog by not being able to back it up or export it.

    Thank you for replying timethief. This is not my problem and I'm sorry if I upset you. I was asked to provide this update because H.M. Stuart cannot post here for some reason. His posts are immediately closed and don't post. The update says he has been waiting to hear back from Support since Sunday because http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ is no longer up to date and I will tell him what you wrote too.
