I have a wordpress.com blog that I am getting ready to make private. After my blog is private how do I invite only people that I want to be able to view my blog? And once they have been invited I do not want them to be Contributers, Authors, Administrators etc. Just readers that can read posts and leave comments.

    Thanks for any help

The blog I need help with is burningthegrounddjpault.wordpress.com.

  2. Hello there,
Your choices of visibility settings for your blog are found here. There are three choices and the ramifications of the choices are clearly explained. In a nutshell if you choose to have a blog that's not indexed by search engines (options 2: I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors) then it will be available to any individual you supply the URL to. They can read and they can comment. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/> As far as invitations go you will have to email the indivudulas you want to access the blog the blog URL. Do note that if anyone who does have the URL chooses to share it with anyone else you have no control over that. Also note if anyone with access to links to your posts in the blog chooses to link to them then that will be appearing in search engines.
