Infinite Scrolling Ratings Glitch Causes Ratings Icons To Not Show

  1. Hello,

I have been noticing an Infinite Scrolling glitch for a long time now, so I decided to finally report it since it has not been fixed, and maybe I am the only person with this problem (who knows?).

When Infinite Scrolling is enabled, if you have a Footer (this might happen even if you do not have a footer, I am not sure), if you have Ratings enabled (Nero style, maybe this happens with the Star style too, I am not sure), and you click Load More Posts; after the new Posts load, the Ratings Icons do not show up:

    Thank you,
    -John Jr :)

The blog I need help with is goodjohnjr.wordpress.com.

  2. your blog is not a problem ... try to check for links that you create ...

    I also use a footer

    I am here

  3. I am sorry Priyantoagoes, but I am not understanding what you are saying there.

I have no problems with my links or my footer, and your blog is not even using Infinite Scrolling. :D

My issue is that when Infinite Scrolling is enabled and when you click the Load More Posts button, the new posts that are loaded with Infinite Scrolling do not show the Ratings Icons (So people can not rate those Posts or even see the ratings icons). ;)

I think that you misunderstood what I typed, no problem, but thank you for commenting though. :)

  4. "the Ratings Icons do not show up"

I have noticed also that this feature has not shown up for a while. Perhaps, you may want to "Contact Support" and "describe your problem" to ensure your issue is resolved. I believe volunteers support the forums.

    Good luck.

Hello Flynn, thank you for stopping by. :)

I would do that, but Support is closed for free users (and has been for over a month), I have known about this for over a month thanks to http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2012/03/22/wordpress-going-to-the-dogs/ ; so my only option is to post it here. :(

We believe everyone deserves fantastic support for their WordPress.com blog. Our backlog of requests has consistently grown as our team of 10 receives nearly 8,000 messages a week. To get caught up and give our customers the support they expect with paid upgrades, we made the difficult decision to limit the contact form to customers with upgrades. Once we are caught up we will work on bringing a high level of support back for everyone.

If you are new to WordPress.com we have a step-by-step guide to all things WordPress. Our helpful forums remain open and you can find more details in our support documentation. There we have guides on getting started, writing your first post, and finding your readers.

We will update this space as we work on bringing back outstanding, free support for everyone. Thank you.

I thought you knew about that :D , I should have re-blogged his post and/or made my own post about it and/or told you about it a month ago; oops. :D

I guess everyone else has to "wait in line" for their turn. I was NOT aware (or may have come across that backlog issue briefly but have now forgotten). No wonder the response time has "deteriorated" but I still got a response to MOST of my issues via "Contact Support".

For the meantime, "just blog" and "hope for the best".

I just wanted to report it to them in case they did not know, fortunately I do not need Infinite Scrolling, so it is not a big problem; but I did want to give it a try again, but not until they fix it.

So yeah, back to blogging. ;)
