Information box at bottom of post page is annoying and I want to get rid of it.

  1. At the bottom of the view post (the reading page) of my blog "The Horsemaster", a box is displayed with the name of the blog, the wordpress URL and the name of the theme "Misty Look". When you hover your cursor over it, it underlines.
I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. I dislike it, and did not intentionally put it there. How do I get rid of it, and why is there in the first place??

  2. That is the (unaesthetic IMO) product of infinite scrolling introduced to ever more themes on WordPress.com.

to disable (though you will not get back to the convenient "older posts" "newer posts" from days past):

unless you purchase a CSS upgrade to re-instate what was formerly "normal."

Infinite scrolling is not to everyone's taste:

  3. Thank you so much for your reply. I do not understand why businesses such as WordPress and Google insist on 'fixing' what is not broken. But since Microsoft does it with every iteration of Windows, perhaps it's merely a case of 'job justification" rather than a true improvement.
Thanks again, and I'll give your solution a try.

  4. Yes, well, I hope it helps…

  5. IT WORKS. Thank you so much! I got rid of that annoying box and oddly enough, I can still 'scroll' to older posts.
    Thanks again!
