"insert link" button no longer working

    have used this button for years with no problems. today it just won't work. when i highlight text to link, hit "insert link" button, paste url, and hit enter, it just returns me to my posts and does not update. doing the same thing i always have and has worked fine in the past. did i miss something???

    The blog I need help with is wellnessprofessionals.wordpress.com.

    Hi, I've had the same problem for the past week or so. Can't insert a link to a website or link back to a previous post.

    In addition, I lost the ability to edit the Publish Date and Time on any new posts.

    tried again today with no luck. my links from a month ago still work, but no new ones. I have tried to contact WordPress support but no luck.

    how can we alert the WordPress folks? I find no way to contact them directly.

  6. If you are using Internet Explorer 7, please try upgrading to Internet Explorer 9, or switch to Firefox or Chrome if you can't.

    Whenever I experience the clicking of a link and there is no response scenario thing "browser issue". I then got into troubleshooting mode.

    (1) Are you using the secure https:// login? If you aren't using it then try it.

    (2) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you aren’t sure click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

    Note: If you are using an IE9 browser in compatibility mode that makes it render as IE7 and IE7 is not supported. To disable see > http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

    (3) Have you done any troubleshooting? Below are the troubleshooting steps we take whenever any issues like this arise and undertaking them will provide valuable feedback information for Staff:

    a. clearing your browser cache and cookies > http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

    b. Using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled

    c. updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/

    g. Resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer

    updated my browser from Internet Explorer 7 to 8 and I am back in business. works just like it did a month ago!
