Insert new bar below subtitle

  1. Hi, in the annotum /wordpress article section I need to insert an additional bar right below the subtitle, how do I do that? (new to css, help is greatly appreciated). thanks.

The blog I need help with is ksiefken.wordpress.com.

  2. Annotum is a partner theme and we Volunteers answering support questions cannot help with it. I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  3. Hi there!

When you mean "additional bar", do you just want to add another border under the subtitle or did you want to add something else?

If you can give me more information, I'll be glad to help you with the right CSS to add.

  4. Hi, thanks for your message. I need to either generate a new bar, similar to the existing one that says "print article, citation, xml" and would then remove the existing one, or I need to edit the existing one and link one "pdf link" into the bar.

Is that clear? Do you know what I am saying?

    Thanks so much for help

  5. Hi again, I would also need to insert another border, how would I do that?

  6. Ok, for the menus - the easiest way for you to have two separate menus is to utilize the custom menu options. Here's a screenshot of the two header menus that Annotum uses:

Use this reference to help you set up two different custom menus that you can select to display:

For the PDF link, you could add that using the Custom Link menu link. The file would need to be uploaded to your Media Library so you can have a direct link to the file, unless it's already online elsewhere.

With the border, it would all depend on where specifically you want it as the CSS would vary based upon the element you want to style.

I found a great support page for the Annotum theme that has links to a knowledge base and articles that can help you get the most out of this theme and a link to a special help desk where you can contact them for assistance too:

I hope that helps get you started!

  7. hi
    thanks for your help.

I dont want to have a second menu, but a section to insert text manually.

Similar to the section on funding statement. how can insert another new one?

    thanks

  8. maybe just insert a 2nd body, is that possible? thanks

  9. I don't see a "funding statement" on your site currently - is this something you saw on another site? If so, can you provide a link to that page?

You can add a text widget to your sidebar where you can add text and HTML links - perhaps that would work for you? Here's more information on the text widget:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/

    I hope that helps.
