It would be great if we could use the same screen to post images to our posts and featured images without closing it each time. I'm working on a (new) blog at the moment - private for now, so I don't want to give the URL, sorry - which uses featured images and it's a total pain having to re-open the image editor each time.
The blog I need help with is artbyvalerde.wordpress.com.
I'm able to click "Use as featured image" then click "insert" and it inserts it and makes it the featured image at the same time.
I can use the feature image at the bottom of the edit screen and also post pictures to my blog from the same screen but by clicking the insert pic button. I don't know if it depends on what template you are using but I'm using The Morning After from Woo Themes.
@itsalexaye90 and @sharingitforward - thanks for your replies. I think I must be coming unhinged (more unhinged, lol!) as I didn't think of doing that! I just tried it, and it worked.
How weird is it that I didn't suss it out before for myself.

I am going crazy with images showing up twice in a post. I'm setting the post as Sticky (which is allowed for this theme), and I use the Featured Image box at the bottom of the post page. The image shows up, as it's supposed to, in the "carousel" at the top of the screen, and people can click on an image to see that post. BUT the posts end up with two copies of the same image. Cannot find an answer anywhere!
