Inserting horizontal line
-
Hi, I am trying to insert a vertical line, which I did manually by selecting the “Underline” command and hitting the spacebar many times. However, the downside to this is if a person is viewing my website from a mobile device or a different type of browser, the vertical line might go onto the next line, looking “trashy”. Is there a way to insert a clean cut horizontal line that starts and ends within the margins of the page?

Hi!
You should be able to use the hr div tag to create a horizontal line that is also responsive. Just insert the following code into the Text editor where you want the line:
<hr>
That should create a line like this:
Is that what you’re looking for?

Your horizontal line example is what I want to replicate, but when I typed in the <hr> code into the Text editor, it created a very short “line” (more like a dash). It was not a long, horizontal line that spanned the page. You can see what I mean here:

What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hi there,
Currently, it looks like the line spans the length of the home page as shown here:
Perhaps I’m not understanding what you’re looking to do. Can you explain a bit more?
