Installing Plug-Ins

  1. Can someone give me a step-by-step analysis of how to install plug-ins? I have looked all over the internet and can't find one way that works. I don't have the plug-ins tab on my dashboard so I can't do it through there. How am I supposed to do it?

The blog I need help with is webreathesports.wordpress.com.

  2. 1) get a WordPress.org blog with paid hosting, at a cost of about $120 a year.
    2) Buy and install a theme
    3) Buy and connect a domain name.

    Now you can use plugins.

Plugins cannot be used on WordPress.com blogs for security reasons.

Also, we have answered this question at least five times today. Always do a search of the forum before asking something.

  3. Haha sorry for asking then. Ok thank you so much for answering!!

  4. No worries. For some reason we've had this question six times today alone.

  5. Very simple answer to this - it's summer, no one has anything better to do.

  6. Ha! Probably correct. They should all go read our blogs then, right?

  7. Exactly. I just started a blog yesterday and I got over 100 views today. This is probably the reason.

  8. That's a pretty big debut, congratulations!

  9. Thank you, thank you. I hope to keep it up.

  10. I have a question about my earlier though, how do make a blog on WordPress.org I don't see the option to do that?

  11. WordPress.org isn't a web host. You have to buy hosting elsewhere, then install software from WordPress.org. Then blog.

  12. O I see, so I could by a WordPress.com domain and just download the software from .org

  13. I have paid for my own domain, do I still not get to use plug ins? I am trying to use paypal.
Sorry if this is an obvious question, I am really struggling to figure this out.
