I'm trying to install the 1.9.7 NEXTGEN GALLERY plugin but somehow it just doesnt work.
What should I do after I downloaded the plugin file (unable to install it)?
I tried to follow the instructions taught in the tutorials but obviously the versions are different so I couldnt find the "plugin" buttom on my dashboard sidebar.

where should I install it then?
We don't allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.
Note that we already have a Gallery Feature on WordPress.com: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/
