You are not new comer (since 2005) If you want to add a new widget, tap appearance (admin. menu) and tap widgets.
If you use Ipad or android it can not work, you must work in laptop or PC. (Sorry the english language). -

All Widgets are found and installed and removed here > Apperance > Widgets. You drag and drop the widgets of your choice into sidebar or footer areas you want them to appear in one at a time. You click each widget to open it, configure it to display the way your prefer, and click "save" and "close". This is the main page for sidebars and widgets in the support documentation.
