   Hi everyone. If I have the option of installing the WordPress app on my own web hosting server (not *mine* really, it's a shared hosting plan of course), is there a way to transfer my existing blog data to this one? Or is there some other way to merge them?

   Also, what would be the difference, if any, in running my blog this way from now on, instead of from wordpress.com?

   You can export the content from your existing blog using the Manage / Export tab of the dashboard, the import it at the new one.
