Installing WordPress theme

    I have a basic design I made in Dreamweaver, used Starkers (blank wordpress theme) as a helper for putting the code in the correct places, Used DesktopServer to upload to ftp and create zip's of the files...I am still struggling to figure out how to install the theme so I can view it on my dashboard in WordPress and make it live. I am using DreamHost as my server...do I need to properly do something with them to be able to bring my design to WordPress?

    The blog I need help with is lghthse.com.

    This is a free hosted WordPress.com blog http://lghthse.com/ and we do provide support for it on this forum.

    You are using a local install of WordPress.ORG software and we do not provide support for it on this forum. That support is provided here http://wordpress.org/support/

    If you intend to blog here at WordPress.com on the blog linked to above or on any WordPress.com blog then you need to now that the only themes we can use on WordPress.com blogs are found here > Appearance > Themes

    You cannot build your own theme here . There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins or upload any third party themes or software. Those are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

    There is no upgrade that you can purchase from WordPress.com that provides FTP access, the ability to install plugins third party themes and software into free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
