Internal Redirects

    Hi!
    Thanks for a great service! I've just migrated my blog from a self-hosted MovableType blog with its own domain (projectories.net) to wordpress.com (not .org), and purchased a domain redirect. This all worked beautifully! Although the images from the old installation wasn't transferred seamlessly.

    I have understood that there is no outbound redirects from wordpress.com, and guess that can be a way to prevent spam-redirecting. But I can't see a reason to not have internal redirects within your own blog. For example if someone accesses projectories.net/index.rdf (my old rss feed) i would like to be able to redirect to projectories.net/feed/ (my new rss feed). I would also like to redirect old MovableType permalinks to my new WordPress.com permalinks, especially the rss feed (/index.rdf to /feed/).

    I have been able to set this up on my old server where I have root access, but I would like to redirect the domain so I can phase out the old server completely.

    Welcome to wordpress.
    Volunteers answering wordpress.com forum questions have no role to play when it comes to approving introduction of new features. Please use the "support" button on the top right hand corner of any admin side blog page (top right hand corner) on weekdays 8-4 PM Pacific time to communicate with staff.
