I am trying to invite people to ready my blog, because I have made it private. However, nobody has "accepted" although they say they have. I had to ask them to be "viewers" but I would rather have them as followers, so they don't have to have a "wordpress" account. How do I do this? Or is there really a difference? I want it to be as easy as possible for them.
The blog I need help with is bremnerblog.wordpress.com.
They have to have a wordpress.com account to be able to view your private blog. If they don't want to - there's nothing you can do about it, and there's certainly nothing we can do about it.
Followers are just people who can view your blog on the internal Reader, that's all. People who accept your invitation to read your blog can still Follow it, but unless your blog was originally public and you had Followers from before, nobody will be able to view your blog unless they accept your invitation.
One thing to bear in mind is that people might have accepted your invitation but forgotten to click the confirmation link in their invitation emails.
