Godaddy is asking me for an IP number, any idea?

Hi. According to the support documentation, to map a subdomain, you don't need to enter an IP address but create a CNAME record:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-subdomain/

I don't know if it is possible to point subdomains when the main domain is domain mapped here, if that is what you are talking about.
Since Automattic is now an official domain registrar, this might be something that will be available to people a little later, but right not it is not.
