IPhone WordPress App and xmlrpc.php file (HELP!)

    Hello,
    I have recently installed the wordpress app on my iphone. It continually crashes on me during setup. I've read a few fixes and they have said that during setup to point your domain to the xmlrpc.php file. (you.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php) I only have a free wordpress account hosted by wordpress. Do i even have a xmlrpc.php file? I really want to get this app up and running but cannot seem to get any help. If anyone here can give me a hand i would greatly appreciate it.

    And yes you do have have the file:
    http://name.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php

    If it crashes it's probably the iphone - really.

    i have posted two posts there asking for help almost a week ago and still it says awaiting moderation. Not sure what's going on.

    I have foudn this on the Iphone support page:

    Sites with invalid UTF8 characters can cause problems. The easiest way to check is to go here: http://validator.w3.org and type in the URL of your WordPress site. If you get a response such as “… one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as utf-8″ that is most likely what is causing the iPhone App to have trouble with your site

    When i run the validator i get this message. The only problem is the validator tells me that theres an issue on line 180. when i look at the code for line 180 through view source in firefox theres nothing there. When i grab that code and drop it into dreamweaver line 180 is diff than in view source. which would be right? Anyone know how i can repair this problem?

    Since you have not provided a link to your wordpress.COM blog, we cannot even take a look. Rummaging around the site linked to your username, I found one link to a blog in the footer, and it is not a wordpress.COM blog ( http://fromthegoat.com/ ), but is a self-hosted blog using the wordpress.ORG software version 2.0 (you REALLY need to upgrade that to at least 2.5.1 for security reasons).

    Please define "crashing"
    What do you see?

    And are you totally sure it's not the iphone? They are fallible.

    while setting up the the app i hve to put in my blog address, username and pass. it will process for a second after hitting save then the app shutsdown.
