I'm all too familiar with waves of spam. But those commenters aren't spammers. I can understand an occasional false positive, but three different commenters in one day is unprecedented. I'll check out the link you gave. Thank you.

I've had a total of 571 false positives in nearly 4 years. Is this a record? :-)

This is a follow-up so that the thread won't end in a mystery. I used the link that timethief provided and told Askimet about the problem. They requested the email addresses of the wrongly-blocked commenters, which I provided. Then they replied that there shouldn't be any more problems for them.
I wasn't told if those people had been included in Askimet's blacklist, so I still don't know what went wrong. But Askimet gives speedy service. I'll mark this thread as "resolved." Thanks for the help.
