Is it possible to add HTML in Description on Categories?

  1. Is it at all possible to add HTML code to the Description area on the Categories page?

I'm trying to add the two counters that show on my front page to other pages on my site.

The blog I need help with is ogstonbirdclub.co.uk.

  2. No, it is not. I suggest you just use a theme that allows you to display widgets on category pages.

  3. Just found this plugin on WordPress, anyone used it or know if it works?

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/allow-html-in-category-descriptions/

  4. a) Yes, you can add HTML to category descriptions, but this doesn't include coding for images, and most themes (including the one you're using) don't even display category descriptions.

    b) On wordpress.com you cannot use plugins.

    c) If you want those counters on all your pages, remove them from your intro page and add them to your sidebar, using two Text widgets.

  5. Thanks for the help Justpi. Being new to WordPress I'm not sure where to start with Text widgets.

Could you please let me what I need to do and how to go about adding them?

  6. You're welcome.
You go to Appearance > Widgets, drag two Text widgets from Available to Primary Widget Area, paste the codes into them, save.

  7. Thanks to both of you for all the help. It is really appreciated.

  8. You're welcome.
