Is it possible to suppress certain posts from RSS feed?

  1. I would like to suppress certain posts from appearing in the RSS feed (but still appear on the site).

    Is this possible?

    I'm on WordPress.com - with a free theme, and I can't really do CSS.

The blog I need help with is kapookababy.com.

  2. You can password protect any post or make the visibility private. No you cannot achieve this with CSS editing. All you can do with CSS editing is change appearance of your theme not function the way it functions.

  3. What if I'd like for it to appear on the site, but NOT in the rss feed and NOT be emailed out to subscribers.

Sorry I know this is quite a specific request.

  4. That's not possible. If the post is public then it goes out in the RSS feed. You can either make it private or password protect it.

  5. What if I'd like for it to appear on the site, but NOT in the rss feed and NOT be emailed out to subscribers.

    (Emphasis mine)

In terms of email, the best you can do is use a third-party newsletter manager and ask it to watch the RSS feed of a particular category only (nameofblog.wordpress.com/category/public/feed/). Otherwise, as timethief said, anyone following your main RSS feed will still be notified of the new post.
