I was wondering if it was possible to take my existing wordpress.com blog and transfer it to wordpress.org intact so I will not lose subscribers or posts but can add plug-ins to my page?

The blog I need help with is anitagoodesign.wordpress.com.

  2. Posts, pages, tags, categories can be transferred. Subscribers signed up through wordpress.COM cannot be transferred. The will have to sign up again at the new blog at your new host. You can export your subscribers from here, but I have never found any service that allows you to import them. You will also be given the opportunity during the import to have wordpress import your images from here as well.

Themes and widgets will not transfer, and there are a good number of unique widgets here that you will have to find plugins to replace if you use them.

  3. The process for setting up a wordpress.ORG install is found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
This is a link to a step-by-step article containing information and tips that may also be useful > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/11/06/setting-up-a-self-hosted-wordpress-org-install/
