is the twenty twelve menu mobile (ipad/iphone/android) friendly?

  1. I created a page using Twenty Twelve and I'm trying to view it and navigate the menus using my iPad and they are just impossible to use.

However I viewed other forum topics about this and it's said that Twenty Twelve is mobile friendly. I just don't see how.

The site on this forum says is using Twenty Twelve, and I can navigate it on my iPad, but my own site, it's impossible.

site that is mobile friendly using Twenty Twelve WordPress theme: http://sydesiderata.com/

Sorry I can't give you my URL because it's a confidential project but is there a switch or a way to make this work for use on a mobile device?

The blog I need help with is 1dollarwebhosting.wordpress.com.

  2. It's not correct that "The blog I need help with is 1dollarwebhosting.wordpress.com."

  3. Assuming that we are talking about a website hosted here on WordPress.com and not a self-hosted standalone install of WordPress...here's what it says on the Twenty Twelve Theme Showcase page

    Responsive, Mobile-first Layout

What makes this theme really shine are the design details. Starting with a thoughtfully crafted mobile-first layout, Twenty Twelve is intended to be viewed on any size device from smartphones and tablets up to the latest and greatest HiDPI screens. No matter how your readers decide to visit, it’ll remain good-looking, readable, and usable.

As a result, make sure you do not have "Enable mobile theme" checked in your Dashboard>Appearance>Mobile.

  4. No, it's not hosted here on WordPress, it's self hosted.

  5. And I don't see anything like a mobile setting in any of the pages.

  6. No, it's not hosted here on WordPress, it's self hosted.

If you need help with your self-hosted WordPress install, you'll need to head over to the support forum on WordPress.org http://wordpress.org/support/

Just for clarification, WordPress comes in different flavors. You can learn more about them here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  7. yes I know but the theme should be essentially the same

  8. http://wordpress.org/support/theme/twentyfourteen is where you need to post.

    Cheers and best wishes.

  9. Sorry, late night mistake on my part.

But the gist of the matter is that you need to post there, not here.

    Again, cheers and best wishes.
