All of a sudden, YouTube videos that I embed into blog posts are just coming up with nothing in them. The frame comes up, it shows a play button, but there's nothing going on with them when you click. Not even showing "preview" photos when the frames pop up.

Will you please post a link to the page or post this is happening in? Did you try using use the youtube shortcode? I use it always and it works every time for me. Please clearing your browser cache and cookies, then try using the youtube shortcode and post agin to let us know how you made out.
Not sure about the real cause but you are using twenty ten theme and there are some changes made by wordpress on the two themes (twenty ten, twenty eleven). Maybe it is the consequence of those changes. See it here, http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/to-infinity?replies=135
Are the videos still live? Don't know what happens when a video is taken down but might be worth checking if the videos have been running for a while - the other problem I have had a couple of times was I made some sort of a goof and turned the video into a link, but my goof does not sound like yours.

This is likely to be either a browser or connectivity issue. This is to let you know that I am using Firfefox 10 and I can view the youtube in this post > Enjoying a “Breezy” ride.
How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.
If clearing your browser cahe and cookies does not work for you and you have an outdated browser version you can upgrade it here.
Exactly which browser and version of it are you using? And do you have another browser that you can try?
Got it fixed! Just needed to clear out my cache and cookies! It was a problem just on my machine, my wife's machine could pull them up just fine, and then the advice here to clear out my cache and cookies ... just what I needed. I learn something new every day. Thanks to all for your tips! Just hope I remember it. :)
