I am working with a blog in wordpress that had TONS of photos that I need for another project, is it possible to download all the images anyway rather than one at a time?
Need help? Check out our Support site, then
Is there a way to download all the images in a media library?

This is the only means I know of Tools -> Export in your WordPress.com dashboard to download an XML file of your blog's content. http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/
During the import process (if you are importing into either another wordpress.COM site, or a wordpress.ORG site), you are given the opportunity to have your attachments (images) imported at the same time. -
The export does NOT include photos, videos, audios, pdfs or anything other than the raw post and comments.
There MUST be a solution somewhere to get your photos etc exported. Help. Somebody.

You could install the WordPress.ORG software on your desktop then Export / Import your site to your PC and that should put the pictures referenced in the Posts and Pages onto your desktop PC.
Ask over at: http://wordpress.org/support/ for help and guidance on the install.

@timethief,
I do understand how the later import works. However, I'd like to be able to back them up in a fashion other than to another site. The suggestion by @auxclass to install wp.org software on the PC will do that, which is a clever workaround.
