Is there a WP plugin for Facebook grabbing images

  1. I heard there was a plug-in or code that could helps when you are sending your blog into Facebook... I heard that it was available on WP.org.. and that it assures that the an image is picked up, or a correct image is picked up.

I prefer not to automatically share my content to FB, but want to be sure that FB grabs the right content... is there something I can plug in here? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is pubgraphics.wordpress.com.

  2. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs like the one linked to your username and we cannot install individual plugins into them. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

You can disconnect and reconnect Publicize but it will only post your most recent post. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook

To get quickly to the point there is no Faceboo tool you can use to selectively pick and choose this [post or that post on WordPress.com blogs.

P.S. On a personal note, I no longer follow an Twitter users who keep spamming me with links to sslected archived posts on their blogs, and I know many others who have stopped following those who do that.

  3. Unfortunately we have no control over how long it takes for the image caches at Gravatar and at Facebook to be flushed. We also have not control over which images Facebook chooses to display. We ahve no control over which image Facebook chooses to display and they make chnage frequently. What follows may ot may not be where they are at today:
Only the first five images uploaded to a post (direct inclusion/gallery/slideshow) will be sent to Facebook. The images size has to be at least 200 x 200 pixels.
To select which image will be used for things like Facebook Publicize, you can use a theme that supports featured images. If a featured image isn’t set or your theme doesn’t use featured images, then the code tries to pick the first image in the post or page. If no image is found, then the blavatar is used.

  4. The plugin you heard may have worked once, but Facebook is constantly messing things up and all kinds of blogs are having this issue, plugin or no plugin, WordPress or no WordPress.
